Family Day Out

My Husband and I decided to take our kids on a Road Trip for 9th of March, which is a Public and Bank Holiday in our Country Belize. We decided to go South of the Country where my family and I are from. So we visited Hopkins Village and Dangriga Town for the day since our kids love the beach and both those places are by the Sea. Where we live is in the Capital City and we only have rivers and pools nearby.. So we had a nice 2 hrs drive to Hopkins Village where we visited my grandparents, then went to a nice little restaurant on the beach to have lunch (Fish & chips & Beers )
If ever looking for a vacation spot I recommend Hopkins Village or Placencia Village here in Belize.
Anyway so we had lunch and enjoyed a little drumming by some of the locals as we watched the kids play by the sea. After that we drove half hour to Dangriga Town to show the kids the house I grew up at and took them to a park on the Beach to have some more fun before we headed home. By the time we got home that night we were all knocked out from that trip but I was glad I got to go visit the places I grew up and shared that with my little family. Now I got them nagging me all the time asking when can we move down there because they love there more than in the City.. (What have I gotten myself into) lol

Stolen

Yesterday I went to visit my aunt for 3 hours the most and when I returned home my son brought to my attention, that someone stole my baby Evergreen Tree from our front Lawn. I must admit I cried, that plant was a gift to me from my mother for being an awesome mom. I had it 9 months and it was growing beautifully. Everyday I would sit on my front porch and admire that lil tree and it also relieved my stress level in a weird type of way by just starring at it.
I just pray that whom ever took it love it the same way I did and hope it brings them as much peace n joy as it did for me.

Dinner For Two

So I only eat sea food but my husband hates sea food, he just so loves meat, so Tuesday night before he left for work I decided to combine our " meats" and make a nice dinner for us especially since we've been going through some rough paths in our marriage. Anyway I made my own version of Shrimp Alfredo and Pork Chops with garden Salad. My Recipe follows.....

Two Pork Chops, that I marinated in couple tablespoons of sugar , salt n black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin

1/2 pounds of medium sized shrimps
I seasoned these with shrimp seasoning and complete seasoning

Fettuccine Noodles.
I used ready made Alfredo Sauce that I poured in a medium size sauce pot with some black pepper and a bottle of Black Ice Smirnoff to give it a little kick 😉

Anyway the dinner was awesome although I still haven't tasted the Pork Chops , but according to the Hubby it was A+

In the past year I've moved into my very own home, started a new garden, got two new pups , and learnt to do this parenting thing solo since hubby is always away working.. So with that said let's get the blogging started.
